Marshall, Texas- A new event will make its debut this weekend on Saturday, December 10th in conjunction with the Wonderland of Cars car show, the Outdoor Christmas Market. The Outdoor Christmas Market is slated from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature vendors from around the Ark-La-Tex region selling homemade Christmas and holiday crafts, decor, clothing, arts, and plenty of other great “stocking stuffers.”
LUFKIN, TEXAS- Ride the giant Ferris wheel, watch lumberjacks logroll, or get in line to taste some of the best hush puppies ever made in the Deep South at the Texas State Forest Festival in Lufkin, Sept. 21-25, at the George H. Henderson Jr. Exposition Center.
Jacksonville, Texas- It’s about to be “tomato time” in Jacksonville! This year the City of Jacksonville will celebrate the 32nd Annual Tomato Festival this June. Jacksonville has been producing tomatoes for the commercial market in the State of Texas for over a century, since 1897. Tomatoes became the primary crop until the 1950s. During this time, Jacksonville earned the title “Tomato Capital of the World.”
