Galveston Island, Texas– For Galveston’s most beloved architect’s 175th birthday, Galveston Historical Foundation will be joining the City of Galveston for a special week of celebration to conclude with Nicholas Clayton Day on Sunday, November 1.
Galveston Island, Texas– Each year, Galveston Historical Foundation asks the public for nominations to the “Heritage at Risk” list of historic sites and properties in Galveston County. Houses on the list are at risk of being lost due to damage, neglect or proposed development. The Heritage at Risk List is not limited to buildings, but also includes landscapes, sites, objects, and monuments that compose the cultural landscape of Galveston County.

Held in Kempner Park at 27th and Avenue O, the event opens its gates at 10 am and concludes at 8 pm on Saturday, August 15.
