Historic Dogwood Trails Jars, A Piece of Palestine History for Sale

PALESTINE- Own a piece of Palestine history and support the beautification efforts of the Palestine Main Street Department.

The Main Street Department is extending the sale of their historic Dogwood Trails pint jars until April 15th. Found last year tucked into the back of a local warehouse, the jars were produced in 1985 and feature a spray of dogwood blossoms on one side and “Texas Dogwood Trails, founded 1938, Palestine Texas” on the other. Wine In the Pines

The Pineywoods Wine Trail

East Texas has not always enjoyed the same reputation as the Texas Hill Country where wine is concerned, but these days, the Pineywoods is churning out some of the Lone Star State’s best wines. The Piney Woods Wine Trail was established in 2010 and covers a vast area throughout the region from Athens, Canton and Sulphur Springs all the way to Naples, Tyler and Palestine. The Piney Woods Wine Trail currently includes 17 wineries making it the second biggest trail in the State. Continue reading

Senior Discount Day in Historic Downtown Nacogdoches Returns Tomorrow, June 5th 

NACOGODOCHES – Participating merchants in historic downtown Nacogdoches are gearing up for their monthly installment of Senior Discount Day. The monthly shopping promotion is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month, which means Tuesday, June 5th seniors can receive an extra discount along the red brick streets. “We are happy with the response we have gotten so far with this promotion.
