Check out Texadus Family Farm this weekend at the Nacogdoches Farmer’s Market

Nacogdoches- Texadus Family Farm will be selling cabbages,collard greens, bags of mixed lettuce, 2 varieties of heirloom spinach(Bloomsdale and New Zealand), broccoli, turnips, and baby carrots from their farm near Timpson. They also will have our hand crafted goat’s milk soap made from our own goat’s milk. Their featured soap for January is our UNscented & UNcolorAvocado (perfect for winter’s dry skin). They are restocking their new scents Lavender Orange and Lavender Lullaby and will have them Saturday. They’ll also have our laundry soap bars and premixed laundry soap powder. They will also have Becca’s candles & knitting,aprons, Aaron & Isaac’s wooden soap holders, and a nice stock of Herbal Rice Bags with removable covers. Friend them on facebook for current updates!

Things to look for: baked goods (breads, cakes, cookies & pies), candles, canned goods (wild-picked jams & jellies including may haw, blackberry, blueberry, muscatine and wild plum as well as jams, marmalades, preserves, chow-chow, pickled vegetables, salsas & relishes), ceramics, artisan Texas cheeses, freshly ground organic corn meal and whole wheat flour, free-range eggs, herbs (basil, coriander, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary & thyme), dried herbs, local raw honey, jewelry, plants (house plants, bedding plants, trees & whips), smoothies, soaps (lye and herbal), ribboncane syrup, tamales, vinegars and fruit wines.  LOCAL PRODUCE:  arugula, frozen shelled beans (butter, baby Lima & pinto), beets, broccoli, cabbages, carrots, greens (collard, kale, mustard, spinach, Swiss chard & turnip), kohlrabi, mixed lettuce, frozen okra, onions, frozen shelled peas (black eye, brown Crowder & zipper cream), pecans (cracked, shelled & unshelled), new potatoes, squash (acorn, banana, butternut, kushaw, patti pan, piñata, spaghetti & Turk’s turban), radishes, sweet potatoes & turnips.

The Nacogdoches Farmers’ Market, located at the “hitch lot” at the corner of West Main and Pearl Streets, is open from 8 a.m. until noon or later every Saturday morning. If the market parking lot is full, additional parking is available in the Nacogdoches County Courthouse Annex parking lot.  Make plans to join us for our Spring Fling on Saturday, March 24th.
