One hundred acres of wooded beauty, trees, flowers, and wildlife await your discovery at the East Texas Arboretum in Athens. The grounds include formal gardens, historic buildings and a wooded nature area with more than 2 miles of naturalistic hiking trails. The Wofford House is a dog-trot style house built in 1950 and moved to the arboretum in 2001. It serves as a museum interpreting pioneer living.
