East Texas Music Awards Honors Local Talent 

Event to take place Saturday, October 27, 2012; Nine live performances to take place

Bullard, Texas — The 2nd Annual ETX Music Awards will honor the success and achievements of unique musical artists who have mad significant contributions to the music industry in the past year. The ETX Music Awards producer said, “With nearly 30,000 votes by fans, we see an impressive declaration of appreciation for local artists
across numerous genres of music.”

Impressive artists represented at the event will cover genres such as Country, Rock, Americana, Bluegrass, Metal, Rap, and more. The twenty-one categories covered this year also include video of the year and guitarist of the year. This year’s ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:30PM Saturday, October 27, 2012 at K.E. Bushman’s Winery and Celebration Center, just South of Tyler, Texas.

Red Carpet arrivals will begin at 6:30 PM. The ETX Music Awards benefits local music community efforts by building awareness for local talent, venues, and events.

Terry Miller of 99.3 Talk FM and Sonya York of BSCENE Magazine will host the ceremony and present awards to winners of the 2012 voting process. Following his appearance on NBC earlier this month, we have confirmed the following performers: Westbound 21, Wes Jeans, Meagan Brooks, Ro’Bee or East TX Entertainment, Donnie Pendleton, and at least three more (undisclosed).

The Red Carpet entries begin at 6:30 PM with a meet and greet opportunity and will run until the live event, beginning at 7:30. Tickets are available online at an early bird rate at, along with a map to the venue. The awards ceremony will feature musical talent voted on by fans, with no judges involved.

ETX Music exists to provide a springboard for all genres of music in the East Texas region, including marketing and promotional services for bands, venues, and festivals.
