Fall In East Texas

Fall In East Texas

By Scherri Bissell

It rained today

A silent rain of yellow, orange, red and brown.

No it wasn’t a wet rain I say

But it was a colorful rain of leaves.

Some rained straight to the ground

While others twirled and whirled around

Later as I took a walk

I heard a sound

It was the wind blowing

Causing the leaves that were rained down to drag their feet

As they crossed the street

Sometimes they just scraped the concrete

As they played red rover, red rover send all the leaves over

Fall in East Texas is a beauty to see

I hope you will join me

For a look or a listen!
