A Matter of Miscommunication

While I was out attending the few and far between garage sales last weekend, Charlie calls and tells me he is at McPeak Orchard and do I want any over ripe strawberries for freezer jam. You might think this is a fairly common communication, but even in these days of marvelous inventions some spots in Northeast Texas don’t fare very well for cell phones. I was getting every other word and so was Charlie.
Ghost Haunts to be Pursued in Marshall Texas
MARSHALL- Ghosts, goblins and things that go bump in the night will be center stage in Marshall, Texas when the Afterlife Research Team and Para Encounters Network bring their paranormal services to Marshall while hosting Haunted Holidays, “Ghosts of the Past, Present and Future” on November 9. Legends of haunted homes and buildings abound in Marshall, but paranormal investigator Mike McCaskill says many of Marshall’s historic buildings and homes have never been investigated.

This scenic 10-mile canoe trip has something for everyone. Whether you’re a bird watcher, or just need a relaxing day out of the house, the Neches River Rendezvous is for you! This nature tourism event is designed to promote outdoor wilderness adventure in East Texas by framing a day of paddling with the panoramic Neches River and surrounding forests. The event is scheduled for an 8:00am start, with free shuttle service available to and from the river.
