Craig Woolheater hosted the Annual Texas Bigfoot Conference in Jefferson, TX from 2001 to 2008 as the director of the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy (TBRC). In 2005, the City of Jefferson presented Woolheater with the Key to the City, as well as proclaiming the 3rd weekend of October in Jefferson to be “Texas Bigfoot Weekend.”
PCT Gears Up for Spring Musical- “GHOSTS”
PALESTINE- Palestine Community Theatre (PCT) will bring “Ghosts the Musical to the stage of one of the oldest and most beautiful theatres in East Texas this March beginning on the second weekend of the 75th Annual Dogwood Trails Celebration on March 22. PCT has been preparing for this show since last year with a cast packed full of local talent.
h2>Third Annual Chocolate Sunday
JEFFERSON- Jefferson’s community theatre, the Opera House Theatre Players, will host
the third annual Chocolate Sunday event on Febuary 3 at The Gallery, 120
Polk St in downtown. The event is one of the main fund-raisers for the group
that is currently in their 24th season of shows.
Featured at Chocolate Sunday are dishes made of chocolate by the talented
chefs and cooks of the city and area as they complete for ribbons and prizes
to be awarded by judges who will pick the top three dishes. New this year
is a category for Chocolate Sculptures that will be judged on beauty, taste
and presentation. Anyone may enter at no cost, but all should contact the
Players to register their names and dishes to 903-665-2310 by Jan. 31.
