The Wizard of OZ Is Coming To The Texas Theatre- If you have never been to the Texas Theatre in Palestine you will soon have a chance. The Palestine Community Theatre will present The Wizard of OZ this July at the Texas Theatre in historic downtown Palestine. Whether you are a history buff or looking for a good show the Texas Theatre will not disappoint.

The Palestine Community Theatre is rehearsing regularly in order to bring The Wizard of OZ to the stage. Local talent will amaze you as you watch their performance of this classic.

This year’s performance of The Wizard of OZ is under the direction of Sandy Couch Hanson, a 30-year Texas Theatre and Palestine Community Theatre veteran and technical direction of Jared Cook, who has been performing since early childhood and in more recent years has been directing performances at the Texas Theatre. The show is sponsored by Wells Pumping Service, Inc.

Opening Night is July 22 at 7:30pm, but if you can’t catch the first performance you will have five more opportunities. Opening Night will be catered by Simon at Saber A Passion, and spirits will be provided by Granny Muffin Wines.
