Palestine, Texas – Save the date for Palestine Main Street’s Second Annual Wine Swirl event in the streets and stores of historic downtown this holiday season! December 12, from 4-8 p.m., downtown Palestine will host Texas wineries across the historic district.
“The annual Wine Swirl is definitely a crowd pleaser. It takes all the things that make our Historic Palestine Main Street District great and rolls them up into one event,” said Palestine Main Street Manager Greg Laudadio. “There is something for all tastes; great Texas wine, professionally designed culinary pairings, historic architecture, unique shopping experiences, Christmas music playing as you stroll the city streets and fun times with great people.”
Palestine Main Street, Palestine Independent School District (PISD) Culinary Department, and Christian Mailloux, Executive Chef for Red Fire Grille, have partnered together to make the 2nd Annual Wine Swirl an exceptional event, which offers travelers and locals top-notch entertainment, and extends opportunity to local students who are preparing to enter the hospitality industry. PISD culinary students, under the direction of Chef Mailloux, will prepare tastings specifically designed and perfectly paired with the featured Texas wines.
The Wine Swirl will begin at 4 p.m. on December 12, and last until 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and will go on sale Monday, November 2. Tickets will be available online via outhousetickets.com or locally at the Palestine Visitor Center (825 W. Spring St.) and the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce (401 W. Main).
Ticketholders will receive a wine glass, a map, and samples from 10 wine and food “tasting rooms.” Attendees will be able to pick up their Swirl Packets the evening of the event at the Carnegie Library, located at 502 N. Queen Street.
