PCT Gears Up for Spring Musical- “GHOSTS”

PALESTINE- Palestine Community Theatre (PCT) will bring “Ghosts the Musical to the stage of one of the oldest and most beautiful theatres in East Texas this March beginning on the second weekend of the 75th Annual Dogwood Trails Celebration on March 22. PCT has been preparing for this show since last year with a cast packed full of local talent.

“Ghosts the Musical” is about a very old theatre that is in danger of being torn down because it is in poor condition. Sound familiar? But a young couple who love the theatre and the actors, and actresses that once graced the stage but have passed on COME BACK and save the theatre! This show has been dubbed a Ghoulish-Haunted-Otherwordly-Spooktacular-Theatrical-Show! You will laugh and you will cry.

This show tells a similar story of what the Texas Theatre went through before PCT stepped in and brought her back to life. The Texas has been on a rise and fall roller coaster since opening as the most expensive built theater in Texas at that time. For many years the theatre fell into ruin and the doors were closed. Today the grand old lady stands proud in Downtown Palestine in the best shape she has been in since the doors opened 83 years ago.
