Snoopy to Visit the Texas State Railroad!

Peanuts™ – The Easter Beagle Express Coming April 7th

RUSK– Snoopy will visit the Texas State Railroad on Saturday, April 7, 2012 during the special licensed event, Peanuts™ – The Easter Beagle Express. 

The steam train excursion departs from the Rusk Depot at 11:00 am and returns at 3:30 pm. During the train ride, passengers will listen to a live reading of the book, “It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown” and meet Snoopy as he walks through the train. At the Palestine Depot during the lunch layover, there will be Easter crafts, an opportunity to take pictures with Snoopy, and live musical entertainment.

“This is a super fun Easter event where passengers can enjoy a relaxing steam train ride and also meet Snoopy,” said Christa Tennison, Marketing Manager. “It is a great time of year to ride the train and view the spectacular display of the dogwoods abloom mingled in with the natural beauty of the piney woods scenery. It’s truly an all around fun event that the whole family will enjoy.”

Tickets are $45 for children ages 2-11 and $79 for adults in the Premium Lone Star Class. The Lone Star Class Adult Only Car and Family Car are available. The premium service includes climate-controlled seating at tables, a personal car attendant, beverage and snack service and a souvenir refillable tumbler. Tickets in Standard Coach or Open-Air Seating are $38 for children ages 2-11 and $56 for Adults. Infants under 2 ride free. Lunch is included in ticket price.
