Woody Plant Art Class at Caddo Mounds State Historic Site

Alto, Texas- Learn to identify and sketch East Texas plant life with forester and artist Bruce Lyndon Cunningham this September at the Caddo Mounds State Historic Site. Cunningham specializes in various botanical illustrations and wood carving.

The class is scheduled for September 27, at 1p.m at the Caddo Mounds State Historic Site located at 1649 State Hwy. 21 West, 75925 Alto. There are only 18 spaces available for this class. In the event that there is enough interest in advance a second class could possibly be scheduled.

The cost of the class is $35 and proceeds will be dedicated for the Friends of the Caddo Mounds’ goal to rebuild a grass house at the site in 2016.

**Students will need to bring a spiral sketch pad and drawing pencils.**
