14th Anniversary Girlfriend Weekend Author Extravaganza
Viva Las Vegas Baby!
JEFFERSON- The Jefferson Texas Pulpwood Queen Book Club will host the 2014 book festival January 16 – 19, 2014, at The Cypress Valley Alliance Convention Center, located at 120 E. Austin (across from the Jefferson General Store) in Jefferson, Texas 75657. This year the theme is “Viva Las Vegas, Baby!” celebration of the 14th Anniversary. Featuring over 50 Authors including dinner served to participants by authors on Thursday night. Each day participants and the public are welcome to stop in the vendors area to buy books and other fashionable items.

7:00 p.m. ROCK AND ROLL 50’s AUTHOR DINNER featuring all our STARS, our AUTHORS, dressed as your favorite 50’s characters.
January 17 – 18, 2014
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
All authors featured at their times will immediately go to AUTHOR AUTOGRAPH TABLE in our VENDOR/BOOK STORE ROOM following their panel. Attendees will need to pre-purchase books prior to having the books signed. As all authors are encouraged to participate in all activities, feel free to ask for books to be signed by those authors throughout the weekend. But do note, some authors will not be able to stay, alas…. To ensure you get your books signed, go immediately to the AUTHOR AUTOGRAPH TABLES after they speak and have books already pre-purchased.
That Bookstore in Blytheville, an independent bookstore in Blytheville, Arkansas, will provide the BOOK STORE for all the author books for the event.
Also we will have VENDORS, (open 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.), Friday and Saturday that will feature the BEST of the BEST SHOWCASED for our book loving attendees.
A SILENT AUCTION will be held with showcased items signed and donated by all our authors at the front REGISTRATION BOOTH area. 50% of all proceeds from the SILENT AUCTION will go to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Literacy Project, The Pulpwood Queens Book Club endorses this literacy project as our charity of choice. and to our other literacy promoting endeavors. All authors featured donate a signed object that ties in with their books for this literary promoting fundraiser.
All nighttime events will be B.Y.O.B. but we will provide the setups.

Have your cameras ready!
9:00 p.m. VIVA LAS VEGAS……Our “GREAT BIG BALL OF HAIR” BALL will feature you favorite DJ MADELEINE PATRICK playing her favorite VEGAS numbers for dancing with our stars, all our authors in attendance. A smorgasbord of dee-vine inspired feast of appetizers will be served and set ups provided for B.Y.O.B.!
