A Double Dose of Elvis In Jefferson
By Jeff Campbell/Jeff In Jefferson
JEFFERSON- Do you remember where you we’re when Elvis died? I heard it on the radio, driving home from two-a-day football practice. In the ensuing 30+ years we have seen numerous Elvis impersonators and tribute artists come along. Two of the best Elvis shows are coming to Jefferson on Mardi Gras Weekend, February 8th & 9th.
Kraig Parker’s “Tribute to Elvis” will take place on the Main Stage in downtown Jefferson, at 7:00 pm on Saturday February 9th. Kyle has been performing as Elvis for over 15 years. His high energy Las Vegas style show, featuring the trademark scarf giveaway, is a world class tribute.
Jefferson favorite Josh Davis returns with his Elvis Tribute at the KnightLight Theatre on Friday at 8:00 pm and Saturday at 6:00 and 9:00 pm. Josh developed an affection for Elvis and his music at a young age. Josh has won many awards including finalist at the Tupelo Elvis Festival, 3rd place in the Memphis Images of the King and the People’s Choice at the Memphis competition.
If you love Elvis this is a great weekend to visit Jefferson, Texas. Enjoy a double dose of Elvis and celebrate Mardi Gras at the same time.
