Diamond Don’s 10th Annual Vintage National Motocross

JEFFERSON- Diamond Don’s 10th Annual AHRMA Vintage National Motocross will be held April 20-22 at Diamond Don RV Park. Over 800 entries are anticipated for the three-day race event which includes Cross Country and Trials on Friday, Vintage Motocross on Saturday, with Post-Vintage on Sunday. The weekend will be full of motocross legends, including at least seven inductees to the Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
Come early and participate in the Charity Golf Tournament on the Fairways of the RaceTrack on Thursday, April 19, 2012 with Legends of Motocross.
Be sure to sign up for Donnie “Holeshot” Hansen Motocross Academy on Friday, April 20, 2012. Trampas Parker and Brad Lackey will be assisting Donnie with the school.
Golf cart rentals and race fuel will be available at the track – but you must make reservations. Ice is available at the track and we have newly remodeled showers!
Raffle & Auction – a portion of the proceeds will benefit Jefferson’s Sanctuary Players Theatre Company.
Transponders: In order to improve scoring for Vintage and Post-Vintage racing on Saturday and Sunday, transponders will be used, provided by Pat Forbes with XTRM Sports Network. The fee will be $5 per transponder per day. Fees will be collected for transponders when you pay for your gate fees.
Texas Three-Step Vintage Series. Ride at Diamond Don’s, Freestone & Rio Bravo – no fee to enter and winner of series gets fabulous trophy and bragging rights. Just register at sign-up.

Wednesday, April 18: Gates open at 10:00 am, locked at 10:00 pm
Thursday, April 19: Gates open at 7:00 am, locked at 10:00 pm
Friday, April 20: Gates open 6:00 am; Gates locked at midnight
Saturday VMX Sign-up 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Saturday, April 21: Gates open 6:00 am; Gates locked at midnight
Sunday, April 22: Gates open at 6:00 am
Weather Forecast – Thursday, April 19 will be cloudy about 66 degrees. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be sunshine, 75-82 degrees. It can get cool in evenings so dress accordingly.
Gate Fees: 1 day, $15; 2 days, $25; 3 days, $35; 4 days, $50; Children under 10, free. Primitive camping included in gate fee. Newly remodeled showers and water are available at the track. RV sites SOLD OUT.

This will take you to the Brookshire’s grocery store on Broadway. Then follow the directions below.] From Hwy 59, take State Hwy 49 East toward Downtown Jefferson. Move to left lane. At stop sign, turn left onto State Hwy 49 East toward Smithland. Track one mile on Right. Signs will be posted.
