Dogwoods & Diamonds: A Dynamic Duo
PALESTINE- The Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce kicked off the 75th Annual Dogwood Trails Celebration Saturday, in Historic Downtown and Old Town Palestine with near perfect weather conditions. If you missed out last weekend, don’t fret, as the festivities will continue for the next two weekends!
Over 75 vendors lined the streets, crowds gathered to watch the parade, and music and festival food filled the air. There was something for everyone in Palestine over the weekend.
For the next two weekend, Palestine will continue their annual celebration.
The red bud trees in Davy Dogwood Park are in full bloom, and the dogwoods are right behind them. The Texas Theatre Opening Night Gala begins Friday, along with the 12th Annual Dulcimer & Old Time Music Festival at the Museum for East Texas Culture. The Anderson County Roughnecks also have a home game on March 23 at Palestine High School Stadium. Palestine will be a hopping place for the next two weekends.
