Athens – Fireworks at the Fishery: Free fishing until 8:30 p.m., and fireworks will light up the skies over the fisheries center and Lake Athens after dark. July 4 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

Crockett – 8:30 a.m. Check in for Downtown Beautification Corporation’s Annual Ice Cream & Fruit Pie Competition at Moosehead Cafe, located at 412 E. Houston St. in Crockett.
9:15 a.m. Judging of the annual Children’s Bike Decorating Competition at the Crockett Bank parking lot, located on East Goliad
10: 00 a.m. Annual 4th of July Parade with this year’s theme “Happy 175th Birthday Houston County” to travel around the square.
Winners of Pie/Ice Cream Competition, Bike Decorating and Parade Float Competitions will be announced on the east side of the courthouse after the parade. The Crockett Downtown Beautification Corporation will have free games set up on the side the Moosehead Cafe. There will also be a concession stand with hot dogs and cold drinks available.
7:30 p.m. The Piney Woods Fine Arts Association will host country music legend Earl Thomas Conley in concert at the Crockett Civic Center. Tickets are $25, $20 and $15. For more information or to purchase your tickets contact the PWFAA at 936-544-4276 or visit pwfaa.org.
9:45 p.m. Crockett Coca-Cola will host their annual Fireworks Show in the field in front of the Crockett Civic Center located on Edmiston Drive in Crockett. Patriotic music will be played both prior to and during the event. Bring your lawn chair, blanket or sit on your tailgate and enjoy the show!
Galveston – If you’re looking for a change of scenery to celebrate Independence Day, Galveston Island is just the place to make your holiday weekend a true get-a-way. From fireworks over the beach to a traditional hometown parade in the island’s historical downtown district, Galveston will offer a plethora of special activities July 1-4. Gilmer – The East Texas Yamboree Association will once again sponsor a community fireworks show at Buckeye Stadium to celebrate the Fourth of July. The show will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3 with public seating on the visitors’ side of Buckeye Stadium. Come early for the Patriotic Aerial Salute. The music and sound is being sponsored by Etex Communications.Stop by the Gilmer Area Chamber of Commerce Concession for refreshing cold drinks and snow cones.
Gladewater – Fireworks at dusk after the boat parade on Lake Gladewater on Saturday, July 2.
Jefferson – The event starts at 5:00 PM in Otstott Park, which is located at the corner of Vale Street and West Lafayette. There will be a children’s parade, kid’s games, a duck race and face painting.Hot dogs and cold drinks will be served for the hungry and there will also be an ice cream contest, along with a homemade pie & cake auction. Dynamic fireworks on July 4, show begins at 9:30 p.m.
Lake Cherokee – Fireworks display on July 3, at 9:00 p.m. The public can view for free from Cherokee Water Company NK-20. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Lake Hawkins – Free fireworks show at the dam on Lake Hawkins on July3, at 9:00 p.m.
Lake Jacksonville – Fireworks display: free family event on July 4th, hosted by the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.The fireworks show is held every July 4th at 9:15 p.m.
Lake Livingston – Lake Area Fireworks Display (190 Bridge in Onalaska, Texas) on July 4 at dark.
Lake O’ The Pines – Fireworks display will be Saturday, July 7 at Johnson Creek.
Lake Striker – Celebrate the Fourth of July at Lake Striker with live music and fireworks on June 30.
Lindale – Living Alternatives presents an amazing fireworks display, fishing tournament, live music/entertainment, swimming, bounce houses, and puppet shows. Activites begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, fireworks start at around 9:00 p.m. Free, but donation of $15 is suggested. 17141 Hwy 110 N.
Longview – Maude Cobb Activity Center hosts The Freedom Celebration and Fireworks Festival. Wednesday, July 4, and fireworks beginning after dark.100 Grand Avenue, Longview.
Lufkin – Lufkin’s fireworks display will be at Ellen Trout Park at 9:15 p.m., however, there are plenty of events going on all day at the Zoo. If you don’t want to fight the traffic, shuttle buses will begin running at 4:30 p.m. from Lufkin High School. There will be no parking at the Zoo and portions of northwest Loop 287 will be closed. Visitors are asked to park at the nearby Angelina County Expo Center, or along Loop 287, where permitted.
Mineola – Civic Center Celebration – Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from noon until dark, Waterpark ($5 for an armband for all day). There will be vendors and conclude the day with the Fireworks Display by the Mineola Volunteer Fire Department. For more information call 903-569-6115.
Nacogdoches – In Nacogdoches, Celebration at Festival Plaza in downtown Nacogdoches begins at 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon. With the fireworks show beginning 30 minutes after dark.
Palestine – The City of Palestine will host its annual fireworks display again this year. The display can be seen best from the soccer fields in front of Story School, along Loop 256. People should begin arriving at 7:00 p.m. with lawn chairs and blankets. The fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Pittsburg – The City of Pittsburg’s Centennial Committee hosts an annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration on July 4.
Tatum – BAR NONE Cowboy Church presents 5th Annual July 4th BLOWOUT! Saturday, June 30th, 5:00 p.m. Free fun for the whole family! Free BBQ sandwich plate dinners, watermelon, mutton busting, wild donkey rides, free entry $400 added. There will also be a mechanical bull contest for all ages, prizes awarded; water slides, horse shoes, bouncy houses, Trailer loading is $5 per head – 100% payback. Fireworks! Teneha – Independence Day Celebration: Wednesday, July 4, Teneha High School football stadium. Patriotic and gospel singing, large fireworks display. Gates will open at 7:00 p.m.
Tyler – The Dam Fireworks Show – Saturday, June 30, on Lake Tyler. Start time is around 9:30pm, and the show will be coordinated with music from local radio station Mix 93.1 fm.
Tyler – Jaycees Fireworks Extravaganza – July 4th- Activities for kids before fireworks begin, such as dunking booth, play area, games, karaoke contest, Salvation Army TX Youth Music Conservatory. Activities begin around 4 p.m. at Lindsey Park. $10 per vehicle charge to enter the park. Fireworks will begin after dark. Lindsey Park: 1255 Spur 364 West.
Tyler – First Baptist’s 2nd annual Free Fireworks Festival Over The Lake, benefitting the Tyler Family Assistance Center. Will take place at the South Tyler Campus of First Baptist Church at 17002 Hwy 69 South, just south of loop 49 at FM 2813 and Hwy 69S. Friday, June 29; gates opening at 6pm. Admission is free, but asking that each person bring a canned good to be donated to the Tyler Family Assistance Center. After the main lot is full, we will be bussing people from Bethel Bible Church’s parking lot across 69S. Please do not walk across Hwy 69! Fireworks will start soon after dark, approx. 9:15pm
