Auditions Scheduled for “Annie” at the Historic Texas Theatre

PALESTINE- If you have ever wanted to be on stage your next opportunity is just around the corner! Palestine Community Theatre (PCT) will hold auditions for their upcoming summer musical production of “Annie” on May 18, at 10a.m. at the Texas Theatre in Historic Downtown Palestine.

Actors and actresses ages eight to 98 are encouraged to audition. Everyone who auditions will be expected to sing.

Songs:

Annie – “Maybe”
Orphans – “Hard-Knock Life”
Rooster & Lily – “Easy Street”
Hannigan – “Little Girls” and “Easy Street”
Grace – “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here” and “You Won’t Be an Orphan for Long”
WB – Something Was Missing
FDR & Other Adults – Tomorrow

Those who come unprepared will be taught the song “Tomorrow” to sing at auditions.

Show dates include July 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 and August 2, 3 and 4. Rehearsals will begin shortly after Director Chaundra Dantin has made her casting selections.
