Christmas Kick Off In Palestine
PALESTINE — Christmas celebrations will get underway in Palestine this Saturday. The city will kick off Christmas with Breakfast with Santa and the annual Christmas Parade of Lights.
Children of all ages are invited to attend the City of Palestine’s Breakfast with Santa from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Palestine Civic Center.
Tickets are $10 per perso, and are on sale at the Palestine Civic Center, Palestine Visitor Information Center and City Hall. Children ages 2 and under will eat free.
Don’t forget your cameras! Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to take photos of their children with Santa. Holiday stories, sing-a-longs, crafts and much more are planned for the event.
The Christmas Parade of Lights will start at 7 p.m. at the Anderson County Courthouse square with the theme “Christmas in Toyland.”
The Parade Route:
after leaving the courthouse square, the parade procession will proceed down Avenue A, to Main Street, turn right on Queen Street, turn right on Lacy Street and return to the courthouse square — where Santa Claus will greet children and activities are set.
