Dogwood Frontier Rodeo
PALESTINE—The annual Dogwood Frontier Rodeo will kick off this Friday at the Anderson County Rodeo Arena on 287 North. The rodeo is a two-day event, and begins each evening at 7:30 p.m.
Rodeo Queen contestants will ride in the grand entry both nights. The official competition will take place Saturday morning and on Saturday night the Dogwood Frontier Rodeo Queen will be crowned. There are 13 contestants vying for the title, in different categories ages nine to 18.
There will also be a raffle for a chance to win a brand new four wheeler and a rifle. Raffle tickets will be available both nights and the drawing will be held Saturday night.
Tickets are available at Cavendars and Champion Dodge in Palestine. Tickets will also be available at the gate Friday and Saturday night.
All proceeds earned through the Dogwood Frontier Rodeo go to supporting the youth of Anderson County through scholarships.
