East Texas Christmas Parades

East Texas- Get into the holiday spirit this year in the Pineywoods and attend a Christmas parade! East Texas communities are gearing up all over the region for their annual Christmas parades. The team at MYETX has compiled a list of parades in East Texas. If your communities annual Christmas parade is not on our list please let us know!

Arp: The parade begins at 6 p.m., December 5th, followed by Christmas in the Park.

Bullard: Parade begins Monday, December 5, at 6:00 p.m.

Carthage: The 65th annual Panola County Christmas Parade will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 5, in downtown Carthage.

Coldspring: December 10, Christmas on the Square, features variety of live entertainment, a lighted evening parade, a carnival and shopping.

Conroe:  December 9-10, enjoy the lighting of the Conroe Christmas tree on Friday, plus carriage rides, children’s activities, live music, a snow hill, vendors and Santa on Saturday. Heritage Place Park, 500 Metcalf.

Dayton: Thursday, December 1, Dayton will host its Country Christmas. The night parade begins at 6 p.m. Includes wagon rides, pictures with Santa, face painting, musical entertainment, snow field for younger children and more. Dayton Community Center, 801 S. Cleveland St.

Gladewater: The Gladewater Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Christmas parade begins at 6 p.m. Dec. 6. It begins at Broadway and East Pacific avenues, and will end at Commerce Street.

Gilmer: The annual Yulefest Santa Claus Christmas parade is set for 6:45 p.m. Thursday, December 1, in downtown Gilmer. The parade will feature floats as well as an appearance by Santa Claus.

Grand Saline- 36th Annual Holiday Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3, in downtown Grand Saline.

Groveton- Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 09:00am on Main Street in Downtown Groveton.

Hallsville: The Christmas parade in Hallsville will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the North Elementary School on Texas Hatley Parkway and will end at the city park on Pine Street.

Henderson: The Christmas parade is through downtown at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The parade route begins at South Marshall and Elk streets, and will proceed north to East Main Street then south on South Main Street to Richardson Drive, disbanding at the Lion Stadium parking lot.

Huntsville- Saturday, December 3 the 36th Annual Lions Club Christmas Parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Sam Houston Avenue to 11th Street.

Jacksonville: Annual Christmas Parade is Thursday, December 3, in downtown Jacksonville, beginning at 6 pm. The parade will be followed by the lighting of Hazel Tilton Park at the corner of U.S. Highway 79 and Main Street.

Jefferson: December 5, Old Fashion Christmas Parade begin at 6 p.m. in Downtown Jefferson.

Kilgore: The 79th Annual Kilgore Christmas Parade is scheduled for Monday, December 7th at 6:30 pm.

Lindale: The Rotary Christmas Parade begins December 5th at 10 am in downtown Lindale.

Longview: The Annual Christmas Parade held in downtown on Thursday, December 3, 2009 starts promptly at 6:30 pm.

Tyler: The Tyler Jaycee’s Christmas Parade is scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd at 6 pm in downtown Tyler.

Marshall: The Mar-Tex Lions Club Annual Lighted Christmas Parade is scheduled for Tuesday, December 8th at 6 pm.

Mineola: The Christmas Parade begins at 1 pm December 5th.

Mt. Pleasant: The Rotary Christmas Parade begins on Saturday, December 5th, starting at 5:30 and followed by a “Holiday Extravaganza” located on the square.

Palestine: Saturday, December 3, the Christmas in Toyland Parade of Lights will start at 7 p.m. at the Anderson County Courthouse, traveling down Crawford Street in Old Town to Sycamore Street to Oak Street, ending at the Palestine Visitor Information Center on Spring Street.

Pittsburg: With a Toyland theme, the Christmas parade begins downtown at 3 p.m. Saturday.

San Augustine: December 2, Annual Christmas Parade begins at 5:30 p.m. in Downtown San Augustine.

Sulphur Springs: The 5:30pm parade begins in Buford Park on December 5th and is hosted by the Loins Club of Sulphur Springs.

Texarkana: December 5, Main Street Texarkana Christmas Parade begins at 7 p.m. in Historic Downtown Texarkana. An “electric parade” will run through two states led by a trio of live camels and their “shepherd” handlers. The annual Christmas lighting, caroling and buggy rides will be afterward.

Van: Saturday, December 10 at 1:00 pm

White Oak: The Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. on Monday, in downtown White Oak.

Wills Point: The “Christmas On The Bricks” annual bazaar will kick off with in Wills Point at 9 a.m. on December 10th, in Downton Wills Point. The “Crusin’ With The Classics” Christmas Parade will begin  1 p.m. in downtown Wills Point.

Woodville: December 2-3, Christmas In Tyler County- The “Dickens in the Country” celebration includes 1890s costumes, live entertainment on the square, horse and buggy rides, breakfast with Santa, an antique car show, parade and bed-and-breakfast tours.

Quitman: The 2009 Christmas Parade is being held December 5, 2009 at 3:30 p.m.
