GO HOG WILD COOK-OFF
SEEKING COOK TEAMS WITH $10,000 IN PRIZE MONEY
CENTER- The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces the “Go Hog Wild Cook-Off” will be held Saturday, April 21 in the south parking lot of Wulf Shopping Center in conjunction with the closing day of the “Wild Hog Roundup”. $10,000 will be awarded in prize money. Cook teams may enter the contest with a $150 registration fee prior to April 6.
The day’s events will begin at 11:00 a.m. for spectators. There will be vendors and exhibits with cook-off judging at 4:30 p.m. Tasting and voting for the People’s Choice Award by the spectators will be at 5:00 p.m. for $5.00. Presentation of Awards will be at 7:00 p.m.
Prize money for the top three cook teams to cook 25 lbs. market pork
will be awarded in two categories – Pork Ribs and Open. First place is $2,500, second place $1,250 and third place $750. Open Category People’s Choice award is $1,000. Set-up and cooking begins on Friday, April 20. Cook teams may obtain rules and entry forms at shelbycountychamber.com or at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce office.
Go Hog Wild ride
New Addition to Go Hog Wild Cook-Off
The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces the addition of the Go Hog Wild Ride to the “Go Hog Wild Cook-Off”. The open bike motorcycle ride will be held Saturday, April 21 and begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Walmart Supercenter parking lot in Center. Prize money for Best Hand will be $1,500, Worst Hand will be $300 and $200 for Most Participates from Club. Included in the $25 registration fee is VIP Tasting at the cook-off, live music, beer garden, and dedicated parking.
