Lake Bob Sandlin

Lake Bob Sandlin is located five miles southwest of Mount Pleasant in Titus, Camp, and Franklin counties. The lake is 9,004 surface acres, with a maximum depth of 65.6. feet. Aquatic vegetation covers less than 3 percent of the lake’s total surface, with the dominant aquatic species being hydrilla.

Dominant fish species on Lake Bob Sandlin include largemouth bass, spotted bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill and redear sunfish. All species are managed with statewide regulations.

Public Ramp 1

  • Located northwest of the dam, adjacent to the Titus County Freshwater Supply District office. From Texas 271 south of Mt. Pleasant and north of Pittsburg, turn west onto FM 3417. Turn south on SW 37th Street, take the first right, then turn right again to ramp.

Barefoot Bay Marina

  • Located in Barefoot Bay, southwest of the dam. Go west from Pittsburg on Texas 11, turn north on FM 1520. Go approximately 4 miles, cross Barefoot Bay and turn right (north) to marina.

  • Located on the south shore at mid-lake. Go west from Pittsburg to Texas 21, go north 3.6 miles and turn left to the ramp before the bridge.
