Jefferson

You can Mardi Gras Up River in Jefferson, Feb. 6- 8. The Doo Dah Parade will kick off at 7p.m. on Friday, and everyone is invited to wear Mardi Gras costumes! The Grand Parade will begin at 2p.m. on Saturday, followed by parties, food and drinks, arts and crafts shopping, and carnival attractions. Palestine

Chef Christian Taste of NOLATaste what lies behind the Pine Curtain in Palestine, Texas Saturday, February 7, during the Taste of New Orleans in Historic Downtown from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. East Texas chefs and wineries have teamed up for the third year in a row to showcase their talents and offer guests a taste of Louisiana-style cuisine. Orange

Take in a parade and a concert in Orange, Texas Saturday, February 7. The parade will proceed through downtown and the concert will be held at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion. For more information visit- orangetexas.org.

Port Arthur

Looking for family friendly entertainment this Mardi Gras season? Mardi Gras Southeast Texas in Port Arthur will have fun for the whole family February 12-15, with concerts, parades, and food tastings everyone is sure to enjoy. Crystal Beach

Crystal Beach offers Mardi Gras-themed events from Jan. 11 to Feb. 14. Complete with a ball and a parade, you can celebrate Mardi Gras every weekend until Valentine’s Day on Crystal Beach. Galveston

Celebrate Mardi Gras on the Island! Galveston has a long standing tradition of hosing one of the country’s largest Mardi Gras celebrations, and the largest in Texas. Mardi Gras! Galveston is scheduled for February 6-17. Hundreds of thousands of people will flock to the islands to partake in Mardi Gras Texas-Style. Historic Downtown Galveston will be reminiscent of the Big Easy with concerts, balcony parties, parades and masked balls.
