Mission Tejas State Park June 2014 Event Schedule
Weches, Texas- Start planning your outdoor summer adventure to Mission Tejas State Park! The park is hosting a different event each weekend in June and always offers some of the best hiking views and trails in the Piney Woods.
June Events
June 7: Make Your Own Birdhouse! With help from the Ranger build a birdhouse ( pieces are pre-cut). Meet at 10am at The Pavilion. Maximum of ten people, please call to reserve a spot. Deadline for sign up is June 5th by 5pm. All of our programs are free, there is a $2.00 park entry fee of $2.00 for all 13 yrs and older. Park passes would apply. June 14: Fishing with a Ranger! Basic fishing skills covered with bait & equipment provided, bring your own pole or use one of ours. 9am at the pond. All of our programs are free, there is a $2.00 park entry fee of $2.00 for all 13 yrs and older. Park passes would apply. Please call 936-687-2394 with any questions.
June 21: Dutch Oven Cooking! Learn the basics of dutch oven cooking and taste some yummy results! 2pm at The Pavilion. All of our programs are free, there is a $2.00 park entry fee of $2.00 for all 13 yrs and older. Park passes would apply. Please call 936-687-2394 with any questions.
June 28: Guided Tour! Join the Ranger for a guided tour of The Mission Replica and The Rice Family Log Home. Meet at 10am at The Rice Home.
