Mission Tejas to Offer Guided Hike and Park Tour this July
Weches, Texas- Mission Tejas State Park is gearing up for fun in the great outdoors this July with two guided historical tours. Discover wildlife, learn about the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the Rice Family Log Home, the Mission Replica, and the El Camino Real!
July 5, 2014- Guided Hike! This will be a guided hike highlighting the CCC features in the park along with wildlife observation. Please wear appropriate clothing, bring your water and don’t forget the bug spray! Meet at 9am at the Headquarters building. Park entry fee is $2.00 per person for all 13 years and older. We are located on Hwy 21 between Alto & Crockett, call 936-687-2394 with any questions.
July 12, 2014- Guided Park Tour! This tour will feature the Rice Family Log Home, The Mission Replica and El Camino Real. Please meet at the Rice Home at 9am. July 19, 2014- Pond Life on the Micro Level! Take a close up look at life in the pond, above and below the surface. Meet at 10am at the Pavilion. July 26, 2014- Movie Night! Join us for a fun night at the movies, bring your lawn chair or sit on our picnic benches. The movie – “John Carter” begins at 8:30pm at the Pavilion.
