Old Timey Fun Set for this Weekend in Palestine
PALESTINE- Step back in time at the Museum for East Texas Culture on April 28, and enjoy a live radio show performance by Palestine Area Radio Theatre (PART) and a live performance by the Wahooligans from Athens! Next Saturday have some laughs and some BBQ in Palestine, while PART performs the classic “Who’s On First” by Abbot and Costello, “Fibber McGee and Molly,” as well as original comedy and music provided by the Wahooligans to benefit Champions for Children, a non-profit organization which focuses on creating and sustaining programs and services for early childhood in Anderson County.
The BBQ dinner, provided by Bishop’s BBQ, begins at 6:00 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. You can also purchase a table for eight for $200 (free radio ad included). Those who make a tax deductible donation of $40 or more will also get a free radio ad during the program. All proceeds will go to Champions for Children in Palestine. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Champions for Children office in Palestine.
The show will be broadcast live on KNET 1450 AM or 95.7 FM. Those who are unable to come out to the museum are encouraged to tune in!
