Crockett, Texas—The Piney Woods Fine Arts Association presents its final installment of the Summer Lightnin Concert Series on Thursday, June 25th at 8pm. The concert will take place at the Sallas Amphitheater in Arnold Park and will feature the celtic rock music of The Killdares.
Originally formed in Dallas in 1996, The Killdares have come to be known as one of the hottest, cutting edge bands in music today. Presenting a perfect blend of rock, pop, and Celtic, The Killdares have established themselves as a unique team of musicians-stretching the boundaries of independent rock n’ roll, while bridging the gap between the traditional and the cutting edge. Since first appearing on the music scene over 10 years ago, The Killdares have gone from local pub performers to national touring headliners, sharing stages with an incredibly diverse range of national and international artists. Their live shows are filled with an infectious energy so powerful that it has been known to move people to tears.
All Whats Rock states “Once you hear the latest from the Killdares, if you haven’t heard them before, you will be all over their catalog looking for more of this amazing Celtic heavy band that amazingly fuse power pop and other mainstream categories into their canon”.
The series is produced by Piney Woods Fine Arts Association, sponsored by Coca-Cola, and underwritten by a grant from Texas Commission of the Arts. Special thanks go out to the City of Crockett and Houston County.
