Texas Forestry Museum Celebrates Annual “Christmas at the Company Store”
Lufkin– The Texas Forestry museum is scheduled to host its annual “Christmas at the Company Store” Friday, December 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Texas Forestry Museum displays the rich history of Texas forests by preserving Pineywoods history in exhibits, machinery, photographs and other memorabilia. The Museum also provides educational programs for youth and an interpretive trail for exploring. Every year, thousands of visitors from all over the world visit the Texas Forestry Museum to learn more about the early logging days in East Texas as well as present and future forestry contributions. The Museum the only one of its kind in Texas.
Carolers from Coston Elementary will perform between 11 a.m. and noon and refreshments will be served throughout the day.
All museum visitors will receive a 10% discount on merchandise in the Company Store gift shop. Texas Forestry Museum Society members as well as museum volunteers will receive additional savings within the Company Store. Museum visitors who make purchases will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket.
The Texas Forestry Museum is a private non-profit organization located at 1905 Atkisnon Dr, in Lufkin. The museum is regularly open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except on major holidays.
