Upcoming Events at Mission Tejas State Park
WECHES- This April, Mission Tejas State Park will host Easter events, including an Easter Egg Hunt and sunrise service, and a folk festival. Start planning your trip to the park this April and enjoy history and events outdoors!
1) Saturday, April 19th at 2:00pm we will have our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Lots of candy and/or prize filled eggs, children will need to bring their own Easter baskets. Prizes will be awarded. Park entry fees apply, $2.00 for all 13yrs and older.
2) Sunday, April 20th – Easter Sunrise Service at 6:45am in The Mission. Coffee, donuts, muffins and hot chocolate will be served. Dr. Charles Allen will be officiating for this inspiring tradition. Park entry fees are waived for the Easter Service.
3) Saturday, April 26th from 10:00am until 3:00pm is our annual Folk Festival. Folk crafts and occupations will be demonstrated by folks in period costumes. These dedicated presenters will demonstrate many facets of our ancestor’s daily lives. A silent auction will also be held. Park entry fees are waived for this event.
Nearby attractions include Caddo Mounds State Historic Site and the Davy Crockett National Forest.
